I love the jungle green nostalgia color and plan on buying the matching back plate for the main console next. The controllers feel very nice in my hands, are not too slippery, and look amazing. You could do it in less, but I was being very caustious and worried I would break something. Overall it took me 2 1/2 hours to complete. I would suggest testing all the buttons before putting the back plate on and screwing it down. I did end up having to go back in to adjust a screw as I did it too tight and it pressed the plus button down permanently. The hardest part of the process was opening all the flip switches and pulling out the ribbon cable and vice versa. I ended up taking it off the old housing and sticking it on the new one.Ī tool I would definitely recommend would be a pair of needle nose tweezers or very small pliers. There are several places where Nintendo put double sided tape to hold items still like the battery and console rail. I was very delicate when removing the ribbon cable connections and took note of where each screw I took out came from. I had to buy a tri-wing driver to get the case apart but the kit came with Phillips screws to replace them at the end.
The set I received did not have any defects and I did not have to take off any extra plastic.
Hoping this Zelda hard shell case for the Switch becomes available for preorder soon or is.
